Holotropic Breathwork

“Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground

and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life,

and the man became a living being.”

Genesis 2:7

״וַיִּיצֶר יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶת־הָאָדָם עָפָר מִן־הָאֲדָמָה,

וַיִּפַּח בְּאַפָּיו נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים;

וַיְהִי הָאָדָם לְנֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה.״

A Journey Beneath the Surface

Holotropic Breathwork is a deep inner journey using breath, music, and expanded states of consciousness to access parts of ourselves that often remain beneath ordinary awareness.

Developed by psychiatrist Stanislav Grof and Christina Grof, the word holotropic means:
moving toward wholeness.

The practice is based on a simple but powerful understanding:
when given the right conditions, the body and psyche know how to move toward healing, release, and wholeness.

The Practice

Accelerated breathing

Conscious, connected breathing increases vital energy and gently opens the gateway to deeper layers of the psyche — biographical, perinatal, and transpersonal.

Evocative music

A carefully designed musical journey supports the natural unfolding of the process, guiding participants through waves of emotion, release, and transcendence.

Supportive bodywork

When needed, facilitators assist through intuitive touch or focused pressure to help release blocked energy and complete unfinished physical or emotional processes.

Beyond the Ordinary Mind

Rooted in both modern consciousness research and ancient healing traditions, Holotropic Breathwork works with breath as a bridge between body, psyche, and spirit.

The process may bring forward:

  • personal memories and emotions

  • birth-related material

  • physical tension and stored energy

  • symbolic imagery and archetypes

  • moments of deep connection, clarity, or expanded awareness

Rather than directing the experience, the practice trusts the inner intelligence of the process itself.

An essential part of the work is integration — learning how to stay connected to what was opened and bring it back into the nervous system, relationships, work, body, and everyday life.

Because the goal is not only to open.
It is to return more honest, grounded, and fully alive.

Holotropic Breathwork is not simply a breathing technique.

It is a space to meet yourself beneath the noise, beneath the roles, and sometimes beyond the limits of the ordinary mind.
